In 2007 M&J Video installed 5 sceurity cameras in an apartment building in Palmdale. The cameras were box cameras with 4mm lenses,420 lines of resolution and because they were installed outdoors in a parking lot they were put in weather-proof housings. The owner wanted to get better coverage at night so we exchanged the old cameras for new Infrared Bullet Cameras. The new cameras have a 100′ infrared range, 4mm- 12mm varifocal lenses, 650 lines of resolution, and are 100 percent weather -proof so they do not need any additional housings. Because no new cable needed to be run the camera installation was quik and easy. And since the new infrared cameras auto detect 12 volt or 24 volt power there was no need to swap out the transformers that supply the power to the cameras. The customer will now see 100 percent better at night just by upgrading the cameras to infrared.
