Wireless Security Cameras For Business

Here at M&J Video we get calls from business owners about Wireless Security Cameras almost daily. Wireless security cameras are a great option when running cable is either impossible or cost prohibitive. We installed cameras for a business in Northridge that stored cars in an outdoor lot. The office was located in the center of the lot surrounded by concrete. The customer needed to watch the entry gate 200′ away from the office. Cutting a trench in the concrete, running cable and conduit and than refilling the trench would have been messy and expensive. This was a perfect application for a Wireless Video Transmitter/Receiver. After installing the camera a short cable is run from the camera to the video transmiter. The camera and the transmitter are plugged into a power outlet at the front gate. The video receiver is mounted on the roof of the office and a cable is than run to the digital video recorder inside the office. The picture is viewed and recorded just as if cable had been installed between the camera and DVR. There are a few things to take into account when installing wireless security equipment; First you must have line of sight between the transmitter and receiver. Walls and trees will greatly reduce the distance or distort the clarity of the picture. Second, measure the distance between the transmitter and receiver. Wireless security equipment has the ability to travel a few feet or a few miles and costs can vary widely. M&J does CCTV installations, not only in Northridge, but Chatsworth, Granada Hills, Mision Hills, San Fernando and Sylmar.
